Went camping in Anza Borrego this weekend with a group from Toyota120.com. Got to camp at around 6pm Friday night and setup then ate. We enjoyed a beautiful night by the campfire then hit the sack so we wouldn’t have a problem getting up in the morning. Saturday we headed off to Truckhaven and then to Calcite Mine. Truckhaven was quite a treat as it included a few nice difficult sections. At lunch we met up with the stock vehicles and did some Anza Borrego sightseeing including the Fonts Point Overlook and Pumpkin Patch. The wind was really starting to pickup and it made eating/enjoying the fire a little difficult, however after a few beverages and some tasty korean bbq ribs, all was well. By Sunday am, half the group had gone home while the rest headed to the Valleco Wash and followed it to the Arroyo Seco Del Diablo Trail which included the Diablo Dropoff. It was a nice little challenge. We took the Fish Creek Trail back to the road , said our goodbyes, and headed home. All in all it was a great trip! Pictures over here.
